Description
Lochinvar Corporation, a leading manufacturer of High Efficiency Commercial & Residential Boilers, Water Heaters & Pool Heaters is currently seeking a CAD Designer.
Position will work closely with Project Engineering to create complex mechanical and electro-mechanical models, drawings and notes with minimal direction. Create and maintain item masters and bill of materials utilizing Lochinvar’s PLM system. Have a good understanding of 3D solid modeling software techniques and understands drawing details as they pertain to ANSI standards.
Qualifications
- Two year post secondary degree in drafting with emphasis in CAD, Design or other science degree. Four or more years of prior work experience may be substituted for the post-secondary degree if high technical, organizational and CAD skills are exhibited. A minimum of two years designing using 3D Modeling techniques and proven skills to meet all requirements of CAD Designer including a full working knowledge of 3D commands and capabilities. Understanding of data management or PLM is preferred.

Responsible for the management of personnel and processes in the areas of computer aided design (CAD), bill of materials (BOM), product maintenance engineering, technical writing services and assigned projects in support of the Engineering Department goals. Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering or like discipline and/or equiv. educ. and exp. Must have a min of 5 yrs exp managing CAD and BOM related functions with a thorough knowledge of CAD hardware and software, and technical writing. Knowledgeable of business practices for an efficient Product Lifecycle Mgmt (PLM) or Product Data Mgmt (PDM) process. Must be familiar with ERP systems as they apply to BOM. Must be able to supervise personnel,coordinate projects, effectively communicate in a team environment.
