Power-Fins are classified as Category II appliances when tested to the latest ANSI
standard. This classification requires all conventionally vented products to be
installed using Category II, corrosion resistant, listed vent pipe. Additionally,
it is recommended that this vent material be double wall construction or insulated
in the field. Direct vent applications must use vent material provided by Lochinvar.
The Power-Fin has 5 venting options. Conventional Negative Draft, Through-Wall,
Horizontal Direct Vent/Sealed Combustion, Vertical Direct Vent/Sealed Combustion,
and Outdoor. There are many
factors that play a role in determining the distance the Power-Fin can be vented.

No. Lochinvar does not supply field conversion kits with any of its products because of the possible dangers that could occur if the conversion was not done properly. Conversions may only be performed by factory authorized personnel.

Yes, the Power-Fin comes equipped with a 24V terminal strip located in the rear chamber. Remove the brass buss between the R and W terminals on the terminal strip. The C and NO contacts of a switching relay can be installed across the R and W contacts to remotely turn the unit on and off from an energy management system.
