Lochinvar KNIGHT, the industry's most advanced heating boiler, is now available in new wall mount models for space-saving installation versatility. With seven floor standing models and five wall mount units, Lochinvar offers the industry's broadest selection of fully modulating, condensing heating boilers.

Since its introduction in 2005, the KNIGHT has consistently delivered ease of installation and maintenance for contractors, as well as cost savings and quiet comfort for homeowners. The new compact, wall mount models are designed to enhance installation flexibility, while still offering all of the features and benefits of the floor standing KNIGHT.

Energy Star Efficiency

For traditional hydronic space heating or radiant floor heating applications, the wall mount and floor standing KNIGHT Heating Boilers offer tremendous savings on energy costs compared to the competition. In fact, KNIGHT has earned the ENERGY STAR qualification, signifying that it has met strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.

The fully modulating 5:1 turndown burner allows the KNIGHT to keep fuel use to an absolute minimum by adjusting heat output according to demand. With a 93 percent DOE AFUE efficiency rating on the 80 to 285 models and a 95 percent thermal efficiency rating on the 399 and 500 models, KNIGHT can literally cut heating costs in half. In low temperature radiant applications, KNIGHT efficiency reaches as high as 98 percent.

100-Foot Venting Flexibility

In addition, the sealed-combustion direct-vent design of the KNIGHT offers unmatched flexibility for placement within a building, permitting air intake and exhaust runs up to 100 equivalent feet using three-inch PVC or CPVC pipe. KNIGHT Wall Mount models (WB050 – WB105) also permit intake and vent runs up to 60 feet using two-inch pipe. The intake and exhaust runs can terminate horizontally through a sidewall or vertically through the roof.

Same SMART SYSTEM TM Control

Like the floor standing models, the KNIGHT Wall Mount Boiler™ offers the SMART SYSTEM operating control with a user-friendly interface. Standard control features include outdoor reset with sensor, three pump control, night setback and password security. Plus, optional software for a PC or Pocket PC offers expanded capability for recording, tracking and analyzing system data to fine-tune operation for maximum performance and troubleshooting.

What Contractors Are Saying About KNIGHT

"I really like the KNIGHT Boiler because it's very simple to install and program. The Smart System control is great and I really like being able to troubleshoot with the pocket PC. My customers choose KNIGHT for its high efficiency rating and state-of-the-art design, and they have all been thrilled that KNIGHT operates so quietly and makes their home much more comfortable. -- Chad Padilla, TLC Plumbing (Albuquerque, NM)

"I consider the KNIGHT to be the boiler of the future, and I strongly recommend it to potential clients. Because the KNIGHT is a modulating boiler, it's able to meet any spikes in demand when necessary, without excessive operating costs throughout the winter. It is especially effective when used in conjunction with an indirect fired water heater in meeting heavy domestic hot water demands. After my first KNIGHT installation, I was so impressed that I installed one in my own home, and have cut my heating bill by more than half!" -- Rick Brunner, Hydronic Solutions (Oceanside, NY)

"Why do I like the KNIGHT Boiler? The list is so long, I don't know where to begin. Primarily, I really like the direct venting because the 100 feet of air intake and 100 feet of exhaust save the end user from a lot of problems. I also choose the KNIGHT for all of its low voltage features, and the outdoor reset capability on the control system. The internal sequencer is tremendously powerful and ideal for multiple boiler installations. It's also a really good-looking boiler, which I appreciate because aesthetics are very important to my customers. When I install a KNIGHT, my customers know they are getting a state-of-the-art system and their expectations are very high, and I have yet to have a customer who wasn’t completely satisfied. In fact, the KNIGHT is the only boiler I quote for jobs that require a fully modulating, condensing boiler." -- Paul Rohrs, Biggerstaff Radiant Solutions (Lincoln, NE)

"I'm very impressed with the KNIGHT Boiler. It's lightweight, simple to install and works remarkably well. The built in Smart System control is a definite advantage as it makes control wiring simple, while most other manufacturers sell the control separately and it has to be assembled on the job. Another big point is that the KNIGHT can modulate down to 20 percent firing even at low temps. I recommend the KNIGHT to all of my customers who are looking for a high end boiler." -- Steve Ayotte, Ayotte's Water Works (Eagle, MI)
