Lochinvar Corporation, a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency water heaters, boilers, pool heaters and storage tanks, recently developed new literature surrounding the introduction of the 98 percent thermally efficient ARMOR water heater.

The full-color brochure includes a detailed overview of the innovative features available with the highly advanced ARMOR. This condensing commercial gas water heater is available in five commercial models with inputs ranging from 150,000 to 500,000 Btu/hr. ARMOR features 5:1 modulating turndown, enabling it to fire as low as 20 percent of maximum input and smoothly modulate up to 100 percent depending on demand. ARMOR is also equipped with Lochinvar’s SMART SYSTEM™ control, which includes a built-in cascading sequencer for installations using up to eight water heaters, to maximize hot water delivery.

In addition, the ARMOR water heater features a stainless steel heat exchanger that provides superior resistance to corrosion caused by condensation from low entering water temperatures. ARMOR is designed to be installed with a separate storage tank, which eliminates many potential problems encountered with traditional tank-type water heaters. ARMOR can be vented using inexpensive PVC or CPVC pipe and permits direct-vent distances up to 100 feet for both combustion air and vent runs.
