Lochinvar® Recognized in 2016 AHR Expo Innovation Awards

Lochinvar, LLC today announced that its CREST® Condensing Boiler is among the products recognized in the 2016 AHR Expo Innovation Awards. The competition honors the most inventive and original products, systems and technologies showcased at the AHR Expo, which will be held January 25-27 in Orlando, Fla. The CREST Boiler and other Lochinvar innovations will be on display at booth 4300. 

This year’s AHR EXPO Innovation Award winners were selected by a panel of third-party ASHRAE member judges who evaluated all award entries based on innovative design, creativity, application, value and market impact. The CREST Condensing Boiler was awarded Honorable Mention in the heating category, one of 10 categories of the competition.

Since introducing the CREST Boiler in 2011, Lochinvar has continued to expand and enhance the advanced commercial boiler line. For example, Lochinvar recently added three new models with 750,000, 1.0 million and 1.25 million Btu/hr inputs. Featuring the patented Wave™ fire-tube design and advanced combustion technology, the new models deliver 96.2 percent thermal efficiency and up to 20:1 modulation turndown. With the addition of the new models, the CREST line now includes 10 condensing commercial boilers with inputs ranging from 750,000 Btu/hr up to 5.0 million Btu/hr. 

In addition, the CREST Condensing Boiler is the latest Lochinvar product line to offer the company’s exclusive CON·X·US® remote connectivity platform. All CREST Boiler models now feature the next generation of Lochinvar’s all-in-one SMART TOUCH™ operating control with the integration of CON·X·US remote connect, which offers the ability to monitor and manage multiple CREST Boiler plants without ever stepping into the mechanical rooms. And SMART TOUCH with CON·X·US can be integrated directly into Building Automation Systems via Modbus and BACnet MSTP as standard equipment.
