Lochinvar Corporation is proud to announce the introduction of the next generation of Copper-Fin II commercial gas boilers, models 401-751.  All four models -- 401, 501, 651, 751 -- offer all the features of the original Copper-Fin II line, plus proportional firing systems, multiple venting options, and extremely low NOx ratings.

The 401-751 boiler models boast 84% thermal efficiency ratings, which means 84 cents out of every fuel dollar are used to create heat.  And while conventional boilers achieve peak efficiency only while running at maximum capacity, the Copper-Fin II models consistently provide peak performance, even while operating at low outputs.  All this is due to the models' proportional firing systems.

The proportional firing system provides a measured response to demand for heat -- as much or as little as needed -- while always maintaining the ideal gas/air ratio.  Multiple gas valves supply the burners in firing stages depending on the amount of heat required. Meanwhile, multiple blowers maintain the proper airflow to ensure the most efficient combustion at each level of use.   A Honeywell T775 controller allows the heater's system to digitally monitor the need for heat and automatically adjust the blower output and gas valves to meet the required demand.

As the demand is met, the system shuts down gradually, turning off gas valves and reducing combustion air intake in direct proportion.  This allows the Copper-Fin II models to maintain virtually constant settings and accuracy within 1 degree Fahrenheit.

Like the original Copper Fin II line, the 401-751 models utilize Lochinvar's proven copper-finned heat exchanger.  The gasket-free and slide-out heat exchanger employs intertwined copper-fin tubes, which increase the heat transfer ratio 9:1 over plain copper tubing.

Moreover, the new models also have extremely low NOx emissions.  The fan-assisted combustion process discharges an extremely low rating of 9.9 ppm.

The 401-751 models feature a wide variety of venting options, including conventional, sidewall, vertical direct-aire, horizontal/vertical direct-aire, horizontal direct-aire with fan, and outdoor venting.  The flue sizes remain unchanged from the original Copper-Fin II line, however, the flue outlets are now in the top left corner.

All four 401-751 models offer great flexibility and ease of installation.  Because of their high efficiency, these units are compact enough to fit through standard 36" doorways intact.  Once inside, the space-saving designs leave more room in the mechanical room.  And the optional Multi-Stack® frame enables you to put two units in the space normally required for one.
