Lochinvar, the industry-leading high-efficiency boiler and water heater manufacturer, is expanding its commercial condensing water heater family with the most powerful ARMOR® models yet. The new models range from 1.25 to 4.0 million Btu/hr, are available in indoor or outdoor construction and offer 98 percent thermal efficiency.
The source of strength and durability in these new stainless steel-constructed ARMOR models is an enhanced low-profile, horizontal, heat exchanger. The stainless steel heat exchanger is heavier, more robust and offers easy access to the combustion system. The advanced 316L water tube design enhances flow delivering market-leading performance and reliability for large commercial applications.
The new ARMOR models come standard with CON•X•US®, Lochinvar’s remote connectivity platform. CON·X·US allows commercial facility managers and building owners to monitor and adjust equipment controls from a mobile app available on most smart devices.
“These new ARMOR models mark a giant step forward in engineering that is sure to pay dividends for large commercial clients ranging from multi-family developments and universities to major hotel complexes and hospitals,” said Mike Juhnke, product program manager at Lochinvar. “With reliability and efficiency built into every ARMOR condensing water heater, facility managers and commercial contractors can count on Lochinvar to get the most demanding jobs done right with simple customization and installation and minimal maintenance.”
Additionally, these ARMOR models feature Lochinvar’s easy-to-use SMART TOUCH™ control. An 8-inch touchscreen and multi-color interface make setup and navigation of parameters a snap. For the most demanding hot water needs, as many as eight heaters can be cascaded together for redundancy to provide reliable hot water delivery even if units are isolated for maintenance. This redundancy provides peace of mind without third party controls or complex logic programming.
Launched in 2008, the ARMOR Condensing Water Heater family featured a starting BTU input of 150,000. Today the product suite offers models to accommodate applications that require inputs from 150,000 BTU to 4 million BTU.
