Lochinvar, an industry leader in high-efficiency boilers and water heaters, was recognized for excellence in product design in the 2022 Dealer Design Awards Program. The awards are sponsored by ACHR News, a leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration industries. More than 130 products were entered into 13 categories and judged by an independent panel of contractors. Lochinvar’s CREST® Condensing Boiler with Hellcat™ Combustion Technology took home the bronze award in the HVAC Commercial Equipment category.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the Dealer Design Awards recognition of our cutting-edge technology and product development,” said Robert Wiseman, product manager, hydronics at Lochinvar. “Lochinvar continues to develop reliable and innovative products to exceed the needs of our customers—and CREST boiler with Hellcat Combustion Technology is no different. The unit features Feed Forward, Feed Back, Commissioned Trim and Learned Trim, which allow the user to set tailored parameters, so it can run at peak performance.”

Launched in 2021, CREST boilers with Hellcat Combustion Technology utilize an O2 sensor exclusively designed for a condensing, hydronic boiler, along with Lochinvar’s SMART TOUCH™ operating control to adapt to rapidly changing environmental conditions. The control platform records the optimal settings and logs that information so when the same environmental conditions arise, the combustion system automatically adjusts.

"These awards give us a unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry, and the awards give our readers an opportunity to learn about innovative installation and service solutions,” said ACHR News Publisher Sarah Harding.

Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 18, 2022, issue of ACHR News, which is distributed nationally to over 27,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers and distributors, and other industry professionals.
